Unzeitig, Patrik ; Široký, Adam (referee) ; Musil, Martin (advisor)
The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to find out how intelligent household management works and then to design and construct system to control home's temperature. This thesis focuses on creation of physical part using Raspberry Pi and on implementation of controlling application, which can be used through touchscreen. Application uses XML file to make data persistent.
Inteligent thermometer
Wirt, Tomáš ; Valach, Soběslav (referee) ; Macho, Tomáš (advisor)
This graduation thesis deals with temperature sensors and theirs connection to the microcontroller MCF52233. In the introductory chapters there is description of the principles and characteristics of the heat sensitive elements and theirs abilities of connection to the microcontrollers. Further there is a real proposal and description of the connection realization with sensors DS1620 (intelligent temperature sensor which communicates via serial synchronous link), DS18B20 (intelligent temperature sensor which communicates via 1-Wire bus), LM335 (precise temperature sensor) and KTY81-210 (resistance temperature sensor which is made of silicon). There was a need to create software for the communication between sensors and microcontroller MCF52233. Communication with the superior PC computer was done by USB interface. Software background was created to show temperature readings on the PC computer. Besides the realized USB communication there was done theoretical analysis of the communication via Ethernet bus. On the enclosed CD you can find testing software for the microcontroller and PC computer which allows you to get temperature values from sensors and show them on the screen of the PC computer.

Řezníček, Michal ; Jankovský, Jaroslav (referee) ; Szendiuch, Ivan (advisor)
This work deal with taking advatage of ballance thermodynamic sensors as the replacement of commercial temperature sensors.
Wireless sensoric network for hop drying facility
Čapek, Lukáš ; Čech, Jakub (referee) ; Šnajdr, Václav (advisor)
The purpose of this project is to build a wireless sensor network for measuring temperature and relative humidity in hop drying facility. This is a monitoring device, consists of several sensor units and one control and display unit. Display unit coordinates a whole network and can display data on LCD or download collected data to PC. Sensor unit measures a relative humidity, temperature, battery voltage and transmits data to display unit. Units contain a transceiver which operates in ISM band 868 MHz. Circuits are driven by 8-bits microcontroller Freescale.
Electronic thermostat
Flek, Tomáš ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Lattenberg, Ivo (advisor)
In essence, this thesis focuses on a search for an optimal measuring method suitable for converting a temperature measurement into an electrical signal that can be processed easily in the other parts of the electrical circuit. The selection of the measurement method was guided by the need to find one suitable for the temperature range in question. For each method there are different temperatures sensors, each with different parameters. This thesis covers in detail the various kinds of temperature sensors and notes their advantage and disadvantage, accuracy, repeatability, non-linearity, longevity, and purchasing price. The thesis also investigates how to cope with non-linearity of the selected temperature sensor while also listing various methods for non-linearity compensation and their effect on the overall measuring. A part of the thesis presents a design of a suitable thermostat that was selected on the basis of this work to provide suitable measuring properties and be most cost effective.
Meassuring system for building constructions
Flagar, Vojtěch ; Fiedler, Petr (referee) ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (advisor)
This paper deals with the hardware and software design of the data acquisition distributed system with large amount of connected sensors. The intended application of this work is measuring some physical quantities in the building constructions. The designed system is hierarchically divided into the three levels. On the highest level there is a single-board computer Raspberry Pi which is used as a master on RS-485 bus. There can be up to 32 slave devices on the bus while each of them collects data from the sensors connected to 4-channel I2C bus. At the same time the Raspberry Pi is used as a web server, providing the user interface of the system.
Comparison of sensors for temperature measurement
Chaloupka, Roman ; Pavlík, Jan (referee) ; Bilík, Martin (advisor)
This work deals with temperature sensors. Basic terms are defined at the beginning of work. The following are distribution, description of construction and principle of touch sensors with electrical output. Other touch sensors are marginally described. Further is described principle of pyrometry and contactless sensors. In conclusion, work contains practical example of contactless temperature measurement.
Remote Control and Measurement with Linux
Ševcovic, Jiří ; Herrman, Tomáš (referee) ; Škarvada, Jaroslav (advisor)
The destination of this work was a creation of modular system for a remote control and measurement with Linux operation system. People use an I2C bus, connected to serial port of a computer. Aplication is made with C++ language to perfom a remote control of systems.Application communicates with web interface, which is controlled by user.
Temperature Sensor Using (Espressif) ESP32 Module
Roško, Tomáš ; Lattenberg, Ivo (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on construction of battery powered temperature sensor with Wi-Fi module ESP32 with the possibility of connection to any analogue industrial sensor. The construction of module emphasizes on minimal battery power consumption with taking into account the longest possible duration per one charging battery cycle. It is also stressed on the way of storing measured data and realization of website, which presents those data to the end user in a comfortable manner. The theoretical part describes Internet of Things, accentuates its history, usage and security. The chapter also covers vast possibilities of application of different sensors and their usage in both industry and ordinary life. The Internet of Things chapter is concluded with description of most used communication technologies and protocols. The practical part is concerned with construction of temperature sensor with ESP32 module. It is divided into three main parts. First part deals with the specification of requirements and the design of the device. It also takes into account the choice of best possible way of powering the device by battery and calculation of battery life. Chapter also discusses individual parts of the whole device, such as the choice of temperature sensor or the solution of connectability of industrial sensors. The second practical chapter deals with the realization of device, both in hardware and software way. Hardware part describes realization of the printed circuit board and its 3D printed coverage, whereas software part sheds light on the programming of the device and how the web presentation works. The final chapter presents two main things: how was the module tested and complete financial calculation for the whole project.
Temperature sensors
Mudrák, Michal ; Březina, Michal (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with problem int the field of temperature sensors. The beginning of the work is devoted to the definitions of the basic terms which are closely related to this topic. It is followed by distribution, description of the principle and realization of touch sensors with an electrical output. Marginally are discussed suitability of use and comparison of individual sensors. Next, the principle of calibration of resistance and thermoelectric sensors is described. The most common sources of calibration errors and measurement offsets are also summarized. At last, there is a practical example of linear calibration of chosen temperature sensors.
